IN MEMORIAMIn Loving Memory OfBarbara Louise AcordOctober 30, 1949 - March 17, 2017Barbara Louise Acord of Cocoa, Florida, passed away peacefully at home in her sleep in the early morning hours of Friday, March 17, 2017.  Her husband of 27 years, Walter L. Acord, was at her side.Barbara was born on October 30, 1949, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Carl & Lillian Walter. She graduated from Marple Newtown Senior High School and completed two years at Temple University in Philadelphia.  She was recognized for her singing and was awarded the Talent Award in the Delaware County Junior Miss Contest.  Her Christian faith was evident in her character and life. Barbara is survived by her husband, Walter L. Acord, her brother, Carl Walter, her children, Barbara Threlkeld, Stephen Crain, Jason Acord, Danielle Acord Hess, Walter J. Acord, and her grandchildren, Sebastian Acord, Christina Threlkeld, Hayden Acord, Helena Coco Hess.Barbara is fondly remembered for having a servant's heart, for making her house feel like a home, for her compassion and kindness, and for her beautiful smile.  No calling hours are scheduled.   Services are private.
