Barbara was born on September 23, 1939, in Newburgh, New York, to Garland and Mary Rowland. Barbara attended Newburgh Free Academy. She married in 1956 and brought six children into the world. She and her family moved to Fort Pierce, Florida, from Gardiner, New York in 1977. She was a homemaker and also enjoyed a brief career as a trim carpenter. Barbara enjoyed cooking, reading, fishing, fashion, spending time with her family, and she loved animals. She had a wonderful sense of humor and absolutely loved to scare people. Barbara was a sweet, patient, gentle, and loving mother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Massoni of Port St Lucie, Florida; Linda Tryon of Hartwell, Georgia; and Barbara Johnston and husband Mike of Port St Lucie, FL; three sons, Guy Partington and wife Melody of Polk County, FL; Alan Partington and wife Barbara of Fort Pierce, FL; and Thomas Partington of Gainesville, FL; fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Garland and Mary Rowland; a brother, Richard Rowland; a sister, Alma Stalter; a sister, Dolores Brooks; and a granddaughter, Vanessa Johnston.Services were held on Thursday, September 7, 2017, at Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service in Fort Pierce, FL. She is interred at White City Cemetery.
