Barbara was born on December 28, 1958, to her loving parents Joseph and Elainey Glynn in Alexandria, Louisiana. Throughout her life, Barbara was known for her warm heart, kind spirit, and unwavering support for her family and friends.

Barbara was married to her devoted spouse, Cherry Washington, for 45 years. Their loving union was a testament to the power of true love and commitment. Together, they created a beautiful family and built a lifetime of memories.

Barbara and Cherry were blessed with four children, Roderick, Mimoka, Courtney, and Danesha. Their children were a constant source of pride and joy for Barbara. She treasured every moment spent with them, ensuring they were raised in a home filled with love, laughter, and strength.

In addition to being a loving mother, Barbara was also a doting grandmother. She had the honor of welcoming nine grandchildren into her life, who brought immeasurable happiness and countless cherished memories. Barbara's love for her grandchildren knew no bounds, and she always made them feel special and loved.

Barbara obtained her high school education at Pineville High School, graduating in the year 1977. Her commitment to personal growth and education led her to continue her studies at Central Louisiana Technical Community College.

Barbara dedicated her career to making a difference in the lives of others. She worked tirelessly at Pinecrest Developmental Center, where she touched countless lives and demonstrated her compassion and care for those in need.

Despite the challenges life presented, Barbara faced them with grace and resilience. Unfortunately, she battled with Alzheimer's in her final years. Throughout her journey with this devastating disease, she continued to demonstrate incredible strength, always managing to find moments of joy and love.

Barbara Washington will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for her family. Her legacy will live on through the loving memories shared by her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her beloved spouse Cherry Washington, her children Roderick, Mimoka, Courtney, and Danesha, and her nine adoring grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
