Barbara Ann WilliamsBastropBarbara Ann Williams, 65, of Bastrop, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Nov. 2, 2017. Memorial service celebrating her life is at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 6, 2017, at First United Methodist Church in Bastrop, Texas. Burial will follow the funeral in Fairview Cemetery in Bastrop.Barbara was born on Dec. 29, 1951, in Leesville, Louisiana. She graduated from Angelo State University in 1974 and served as the office manager of San Angelo Neurosurgical Office for more than 35 years. She married her best friend, Randy, in 1975, and they made their home in San Angelo, Texas, where they had a daughter, Amanda. In 2011, Barbara retired, and in 2014, she and Randy moved to Bastrop, Texas, to be closer to their daughter and her family.Barbara was a wonderful wife and devoted mother. She loved fishing, hiking, gardening and attending sporting events. She especially enjoyed watching the Texas Longhorns and attending hockey games. Barbara was a talented cook and baker, and she enjoyed making sweet treats for her two grandsons. She was a sleuth on the internet, and she enjoyed researching her family's genealogy and spending time with family.She is loved and will be missed by her husband of 42 years, Randy; her daughter Amanda; son-in-law George P. Bush and their two sons; her mother, Mildred Vadney; brothers Bob Vadney and his wife, Kathy and Steven Vadney and his wife, Wendy; sister Carol Motloch and her husband, Ronny; and numerous other family members and friends.Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Robert Vadney; and her sister, Joan Stradley.
