Barbara McCallum(aka Dillie) was born November 25 1945 to loving parents Berrett McCallum and Winston Cato and to sibling union of elder brother Winston McCallum. Whom all preceded her in death. And added later to this union youngest sister Gloria McCallum(aka Lodie). Barbara and her two siblings were raised on the southside of Chicago along with hosts of cousins,aunts, and loving grandmother Barbara A Bullar McCallum(aka Mama) whom she was namesaked. During her childhood she, her mother, and siblings moved into Stateway Garden Housing Development where she began her education. Along with her siblings she attended Crispus Attucks Public School where she completed kindergarden through eighth grade. Upon graduating, she attended Wendell Phillips Academy High School where she completed ninth through twelvth grade. After graduating she later met Robert Lee Wilson (whom preceded her in death), later married and to their union three children were born, Robert Lee McCallum (aka Bobby), Jaton Wilson Stewart(aka Tonie who also preceded her in death), and Tammie Wilson Bishop(aka Proxy) where she began her duties as a mother. After being a single mother for a short time, she met Clarence Wayne Jones Sr(aka Goojie). From that union youngest sibling Clarence Wayne Jones Jr(aka Boobie) was born. During their tinuous relationship, Clarence lovingly accepted the role as father figure to her three children as well as his own. In the interim she began employment at ITT Corporation where she was a receptionist. After ITT, she became employed at Malcolm X college as a secretary. After some time, Barbara decided to quit her job and focus on raising her four children. And while doing so, she met the man who would become her lifelong partner Lloyd Raymond Haywood Sr(aka Chik who also preceded her in death). They together raised and mentored all four children as well as his own to adulthood. Barbara enjoyed many fruits of her life as well as accepting the gospel of Jesus Christ and confessing HIM as her Lord and Savior and was baptized. After raising her children, she decided to go back to work at Northern Trust Bank until her retirement. Also during her life, Barbara was blessed to become a grandmother to 15 and great grandmother to 17 whom all affectionately referred to her as granosin. Barbara was a woman who believed life should be lived to the fullest, and in her life strived to do just that. Also with loving words, encouragement, and prayer she guided her family through tough times. On November 3 2022 at 10:35 am her duties on this earth were fulfilled. She leaves to mourn her passing her loving sister Gloria, eldest son Robert, youngest daughter Tammie, and youngest son Clarence along with hosts of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and extended family and friends, lifelong friends Jenny Stewart and Vivian Passmore.
