Barbara Diane BurtlowJanuary 28, 1950 - May 8, 2014It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Barbara Diane Burtlow lost her brief but fierce battle with liver cancer. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by love on May 8th 2014. There is no way to summarize in a few paragraphs how she touched the hearts of every person she met. How do you describe a smile that would light up a room? How do you put into words her melodic laugh? It is impossible to describe the twinkle in her eyes. Her loving heart and generous nature were felt by all. She was a caring sister, amazing daughter, beloved wife, loving mother, Aunt, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend.Barbara Allen was born on January 28th 1950 in Nampa where she continued to live in the surrounding area for the rest of her life. She met the love of her life at the drive in, and married Kenneth Burtlow on June 14th 1968. The couple had two daughters to complete their loving family. Barbara lived a simple yet extremely satisfying life. She lived fully and savored every moment. She loved her children and grandchildren with all of her being and she would sacrifice all that she had for them. Our wish for her is that she continue to be the beautiful and loving soul who left this earth to return to those who have gone before her. We shall see her again someday so it is not good bye, but see you later.A graveside service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Kohlerlawn Cemetery in Nampa.
