Barbara Ellen Giuntoli Barbara Ellen Giuntoli, 78, of Bluffton, SC and formerly Butler, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville, SC. The daughter of the late J. Franklin Douthett and Ellen Lester Douthett, Barbara was born on February 16, 1938 in Butler, PA. Barbara graduated from Butler High School and went on to complete her schooling at the Humboldt Institute, Airline & Business School in Minneapolis, MN. Upon graduation, Barbara relocated to Washington DC where she accepted a position with Capital airlines on the staff of Jennings Randolph, the former congressman from West Virginia who was at that time an executive at Capital Airlines. Barbara re-located back to the Butler area where she married her high school sweetheart, James M. Giuntoli. Barbara and Jim were happily married for 55 years. In Butler, she worked for many years as a para-professional for the Butler, PA School District. During that time she worked with elementary school children and loved her work. After retiring from the Butler School district, Barbara and Jim retired to Sun City, where she was an active golfer and participated in various clubs in her community and church. Barbara also enjoyed dancing, music as well as her friends and family, in particular, her grandchildren. In Bluffton, Mrs. Giuntoli was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Barbara is survived by her husband, James M. Giuntoli; a son, J. Chris Giuntoli (Helen) of Walnut Creek, CA; a daughter, Lisa M. Giuntoli of Los Angeles, CA; 2 sisters, Marilyn Zacarri and Debbie Grossi, both of Butler, PA; and grandchildren, Francesca, Luke, Owen, and Cal as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, father and brother, David Douthett. Services for Barbara will be held on Friday, September 23rd at 10:30 AM at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC.
