BURLINGTON - Barbara Ellen McCumber, 65, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012, at Lakeland Nursing Home in Elkhorn with her children by her side. Barb was born on October 10, 1946, in Burlington, to Kenneth and Delores (nee: Finucane) Christensen. She was a lifetime resident and graduated from Burlington High School. On February 28, 1966, she was married to Larry McCumber, Sr. in Tomah, Wisconsin for 31 years. Barb loved her family very much and was always there for them when they needed support most. When she wasnt around the kitchen table engaged in conversation, or playing cards or dice, she could be found on the golf course. Survivors include her three children; Timothy (Pamela) McCumber of Merrimac, WI, Larry McCumber, Jr. of Lyons, Wisconsin, and Dena McCumber Morris of Hastings, MN, her mother, Delores; grandchildren; Kedzie and Abbey McCumber; Ashley, Cecelia, Nathan, and Lilly McCumber, and Kaylee and Emily Morris; her siblings Christine (Al) Osborn, Kenneth (Kirsten) Christensen, and James (Sue) Christensen. Barb is further survived by many nieces, nephews, many relatives and friends, as well as her sister-in-law and caregiver, Dianne Wiemer. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth; nephew Jason Greendeer Fitzpatrick, and her best friend since high school, Sandy Fettes. Funeral Service Monday, June 18, 2012, at 7 p.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. 625 Browns Lake Dr. Burlington. Visitation on Monday from 4p.m. until time of services.
