Barbara passed away peacefully on March 4th, shortly after celebrating her 90th birthday.  Barbara was born in Las Vegas, NV on February 16, 1926 and moved to San Francisco in 1947.  While working for a physician at 450 Sutter she met her husband of 44 years, Dr. Alvin Harris, a Mt. Zion Anesthesiologist.  Together they moved to Marin County in 1951 where they started their family.  Barbara and Al traveled the world together, and later enjoyed frequent family trips to Maui.  Barbara enjoyed sailing and golf, and was an accomplished oil painter.

Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband Al and her oldest son Steve.  She is lovingly survived by her son Richard (Julie) Harris, their two children Nicholas and Melinda, and extended family in both California and Nevada.  Barbara’s ashes will be scattered at sea, joining Al and Steve, with a private memorial service.  The family would appreciate donations to any Hospice organization of your choice.
