Barbara Lakes, of Glenwood, Indiana, passed away on January 15, 2026, at the age of 75.

Barbara was born on October 11, 1950, and grew up in the small town of Glenwood. She attended Brookville Sr High and proudly graduated in 1968.

After completing her education, Barbara went on to work at Ford Aerospace, where she dedicated many years of hard work before retiring in 2009.

Barbara had a zest for life and a contagious sense of humor. She loved spending time with her three children, Wendy, Paul, and Christina, and adored her eight grandchildren. Family was everything to her, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

One of Barbara's greatest joys in life was spending time with her grandchildren. Whether it was playing board games, going on adventures, or sharing stories, she always made sure to make the most of every moment she had with them.

Barbara will be remembered for her warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
