ODESSA - Barbara Jean (Brown) Rathjen passed peacefully in Hospice Care on February 3, 2017 in Odessa, Tx. at the age of 59.Barbara is survived by her Father, Leroy Brown and brother, James-Jim-Brown (Stephanie Brown) of North Carolina; Mother-In-Law, LaJuana Rathjen of Midland, Tx.; Children: Chris Clark (Mandy Clark), Jarrod Clark, and Amy Rathjen all of Odessa, Tx; and one adoring grandson, Cameron Clark.She is also survived by niece, Kelley Little (Bobby Little) of Prosper, Tx.; Nephew, Christopher Brown (Meredith Brown) of Durham, North Carolina and 4 great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Mother, Mary Brown, and husband, John Rathjen, both of Odessa, Tx.Barbara was born on May 17th, 1957 in Ft. Riley, Kansas. She graduated from UTPB with a Bachelor of Arts. Barbara was an employee of Ector County Probation for 18 years. She enjoyed going to the lake with her kids and trips to the cabin in Cloudcroft, NM. Being called "Mimi" was one of her proudest titles. A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, February 7th, at 12:00pm. at Frank Wilson Funeral Home (4635 Oakwood Odessa, Tx.)
