Brotz, Barbara JoBarbara Jo Brotz, age 72, of Plymouth, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born on December 11, 1943, the first child of eight, to the late Frank and Helen Brotz.After attending Holy Name Catholic grade school and Sheboygan North High, Barbara went on to Patricia Stevens Career College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She worked at Plastics Engineering Company as an office clerk-typist from October 1969 until her retirement in December 1993.Horses were Barbara's passion and joy. Growing up, many happy hours were spent on the family horse farm. Barbara made many lifelong friends in the horse world and her champion Appaloosas won numerous National and World titles.Barbara is survived by three brothers, Frank Brotz, Gregory Brotz and Stuart (Cindy) Brotz, all of Sheboygan, and three sisters, Jennifer (Harvey) Sischo, Jacqueline Brotz and Michel (Michael) Stec, all of Arizona. One sister, Kathleen Brotz, predeceased her in 1960. She leaves behind numerous loving relatives, including thirteen nieces and nephews, and many close friends, especially Mark Lang and Greg MacLeod of Plymouth, Wisconsin.We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Barbara during her 72 years with us, most notably, to be determined and never give up; she was resilient and enduring. Barbara's strength and will were an inspiration.Ballhorn Chapels has been entrusted to make funeral arrangements. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Ballhorn Chapels, 1201 N. 8th Street, Sheboygan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in celebration of Barbara's life at Holy Name Catholic Church, 807 Superior Avenue, Sheboygan at 11:30 a.m. Officiating will be Fr. Matthew Widder. Interment will take place at 1:00 p.m. at Woodland Cemetery, 370 Woodland Road, Kohler.In lieu of flowers, the family will be establishing a memorial fund in Barbara's name at a later date.Please visit our website to sign the guestbook
