Barbara Knowlton BormanBarbara Knowlton Borman passed away peacefully at her home on April 25, 2017. Barbara was born on May 13, 1924, in Alma, Michigan, to Glada Beck and Herbert J. Knowlton. She grew up in the Chicago suburbs of Elmhurst and Villa Park. She attended Michigan State University and was a member of Chi Omega. She enjoyed two careers: the first, as a buyer and then a section manager at Marshall Fields in Chicago; the second, as a real estate agent in Greenwich, CT. Barbara loved her bridge games and enjoyed many of the arts in Naples. She has been a long-time member of the Royal Poinciana Golf Club and the Naples Yacht Club. She is a former member of Innis Arden Golf Club in Old Greenwich, CT. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Earle K. Borman, Jr. She leaves three children: Heather Borman of St. David, AZ; Earle (Rick) K. Borman III of Naples, FL; and Wendy Quaranta of Riverside, CT and Naples, FL. Her loving and young spirit was a beacon to those who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, at the Bower Chapel at Moorings Park. A reception will be held immediately following the service in the library at the Moorings Park clubhouse.
