Missar, BarbaraBarbara J. Missar, 92, Fenwood, died on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Arborview Court Assisted Living in Wisconsin Rapids. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2000 Roosevelt Dr., Plover, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 am on Thursday until service time. Burial will take place in Fenwood Cemetery at a later date. Barbara was born on December 2, 1924 in Junction City, to Harold and Olive (Allen) Schwartz. She married Charles J. Missar on October 17, 1942 in Windsor, Wisconsin. Barbara had been employed as Postmaster in Fenwood and Loyal. She was active in a homemakers club and enjoyed playing cards, fishing, snowmobiling, crocheting, making pies and was an avid reader. She is survived by her daughters, Diana Kowaleski of Bancroft and Sharon Hardrath of Medford. She is also survived by grandchildren, Patti Kowaleski, Mark (Melissa) Kowaleski, Kristine (Nathanial) Madison, Connie Kaiser, Andrew Kaiser and Carmella (Doug) Moon, 5 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She is further survived by her sisters, Ethel Riehbrandt of Wausau and Orpha Krolczek of Montgomery, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles, a son Leon Missar, a daughter, Judy Kester, Sons-in-law, Ronald Kowaleski and Lyle Hardrath, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
