Motta, BarbaraBarbara M. Motta, age 77, beloved wife of Vincent C. Motta of Norwalk, passed away peacefully in her home on November 26, 2016. She was born on September 27, 1939 in Manhattan, NY and was the daughter of the late Richard and Edna Scharf Cottrell. Most recently, Barbara was a travel agent for Happy Holidays Travel and, prior to that, owned her own travel business in Stamford, CT.In addition to her loving husband, Barbara is survived by her son AJ (Clairemarie) and her granddaughters Jessica and Danielle of Pleasantville, NY, and her daughter Sarah-Beth of Stratford, CT. She is also survived by her siblings Robert (Martha) Cottrell, Richard (Miki) Cottrell and Jeanmarie (Dennis) Nargi and a host of nieces and nephews.Barbara is now at peace and joins her loving parents Richard and Edna and her best friend Lucy Knopf. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her and will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, a selfless mother and a loving grandma.Friends are invited to greet the family on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street.
