Barbara "Bas" Ann Orlowski, 66, of Auburn, passed away on Saturday morning, March 30, 2013 at the Regional Hospital of Scranton Hospice.Barbara was born on March 3, 1947 in Morristown, N.J., the daughter of the late Albert Constantine and Sophia Bujnowski Orlowski. She graduated from Parsippany High School in N.J., class of 1965.She worked for Knitting Mills in South Montrose, then moved with the company to New York State for 20 years. She also worked for the Shop Vac/Felchars in New York State for 15 years. Barbara loved being outside gardening and playing with her dogs. She was an understanding and loyal friend. She was also a strong independent woman who always was willing to lend a helping hand.Barbara is survived by her sister Karen Visavati of Dimock; nieces and nephews, Ken Visavati (Maren) of Dimock, Kathy Visavati of Springville, Keith Visavati (Desiree Daff) of Laceyville, Kevin Visavati (Tammie Johnson) of Hop Bottom, Denise Freeman (Wes) of Factoryville, Chris Visavati of Dimock, Melissa Visavati of Dimock and Laura Visavati of Montrose; her special great nephew Ryan Visavati of Auburn, as well as many other great nieces and great nephews who knew her as "Bobbie". Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Teresa Visavati on January 12, 2009.It was Barbara's wishes to have a private memorial service at a later date at the convenience of the family.Arrangements were made through Sheldon Funeral Homes, Main St., Meshoppen.In lieu of flowers those wishing to make memorial donations may do so in Barbara's name to the Rush Volunteer Fire Co., PO Box 5, Lawton, PA 18828.
