Barbara Rose (Werling) BorerFREMONT: Barbara Rose (Werling) Borer, 74, of Fremont, passed away at Memorial Hospital on December 2, 2016. She was born on October 4, 1942 to Andrew and Ruth (Ward) Werling in Tiffin. In 1960, she graduated from Hopewell Louden High School, and worked at Mercy Hospital as a nurse aide for 5 years. Barbara enjoyed being a stay at home mom, and in her youth, she enjoyed fishing, bowling, working on the farm, and helping her mom in the kitchen. Barbara will forever be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mom, grandma, aunt, and friend. She found her greatest joy in the success of her family and she loved all of them. She also loved playing games with her grandkids. Barbara is survived by her husband, Gerald E. Borer, of Fremont, children, Cynthia (Pete) Schulden, of Plant City, FL, James Borer, Mike Borer, Lori (Donnie) Vallance, all of Fremont, grandchildren, Samantha Vallance, Steven Schulden, Shelby Vallance, Stormy Vallance, and Erin Borer, sister-in-law Rosie Werling, sisters, Beverly (Paul) Staib, Ruthann (Bob) Varvel, and Pamela (Dale) Frazier. She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Ruth (Ward) Werling, and her brother, James Werling. Visitation for Barbara will be held Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 4p.m. to 8p.m. with a vigil service beginning at 7:30p.m. at Keller-Koch-Chudzinski Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, Ohio, 43420. A Mass of Resurrection will begin at 10:30a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with an hour of visiting prior to mass. Rev. Michael Zacharias will be officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph cemetery.
