Barbara Taylor Parker, 57, a resident of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on August 19, 2008. Barbara was born on May 16, 1951 in Lake City, Florida to the late Nick Taylor and Ruth Shaw. She was a graduate of Richardson High School. She continued her education to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. Barbara is preceded in death by her brothers, Frank Shaw, Clyde Shaw, Willie Darby, and Purvis Darby. Survivors include her children, Tiki Weston-Allen, Purvis Taylor; brothers, Lewis and David Shaw; grandchildren, Jazmyn, Justyce, Omari, and RaSeanna; special friend, Arthur Parker; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 248 NE Martin Luther King Street. Visitation with the family will be held Friday, August 29, 2008 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Combs Funeral Home Chapel.
