AUBURN — Barbara E. Troyer, 72, of Auburn, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2015 at Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville, Indiana. She was born on Jan. 9, 1943, in LaGrange, to the late, Ralph and Gertrude (Sigler) Heltzel. Barbara was a graduate of Springfield Township High School in Mongo. She went to beautician school and then worked as the instructor/manager of the Vogue Beauty College in Elkhart and Mishawaka, Indiana, for over 30 years. On Oct. 29, 1961, she married James Leroy Troyer. He preceded her in death on March 11, 2011. Surviving Barbara are her two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jimmie and Dorothy Troyer of Elkhart, Indiana, and Phillip Troyer of Overland Park, Kansas; three grandchildren, Kylie Troyer of Bonita Springs, Florida, Braxton Troyer of Houston, Texas and Kate Troyer of Fort Wayne; six sisters and four brothers-in-law, Laura and Meryl Nelson of Sturgis, Michigan, Gaythel and Kenneth Hall of Mongo, Indiana, Marilynn and Gary Grossman of Wolcottville, Indiana, Sharon Weldon of Howe, Indiana, Linda Perkins of Auburn, Indiana, and Sandra and Jim Gick of Mongo, Indiana; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert and Linda Heltzel of LaGrange, Indiana, and Don Heltzel of Hudson, Indiana. Her sisters, Veda Harp and Beverly Currier and a brother, Phillip Heltzel also preceded Barbara in death. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 12 noon at the Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 West Michigan St., LaGrange, Indiana. The Rev. James Bartlett will officiate. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time. Memorials may be contributed to Parkview Home Health & Hospice.
