Beatrice Marie Hofner Snider, 89, of Linwood, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. She was born on Oct. 1, 1927 to the late David and Clementine Reid Hofner in Salisbury. Beatrice was a graduate of Rockwell High School; she worked as an inspector for Burlington Industries. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Beatrice enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, flower and vegetable gardening. She loved spending time and being with her family. Beatrice is survived by her son, Lonnie E. Snider and wife Debbie of Lexington; and one grandson, Chris Snider of Lexington. Beatrice was the 14th child of 17 and is survived by one sister, Virginia H. Kirk of Salisbury and many nieces and nephews. Visitation: Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2017, 1-2 p.m. in the St. Matthew's Lutheran Church Family Life Center, Salisbury. Service: Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 2 p.m. at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Salisbury, with Rev. Gary S Coble, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Matthew's Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorials: Memorials may be made to Hinkle Hospice House, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
