Belia Roman Galvan, 82, of Somerton, Arizona entered into eternal peace on Monday, November 2nd, 2015 in Yuma, Arizona.Belia was born on January 27th, 1933 in Gadsden, Arizona to the late Victoriano Roman and the late Georgina Roman. She married the love of her life, Jose Galvan, on August 16th, 1952 and spent 55 glorious years by his side before he was called to heaven in 2007. Together they raised five sons and three daughters, and she also played a big role in the raising of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Belia worked as a clerk for many years at Fair Price in Somerton and then also at the Butcher Shop in Somerton. Her family remembers her as a hard worker and such a beautiful woman with such a loving and generous heart. She was always willing to help others and especially proud to help out strangers, providing meals and drinks to those in need. Belia was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Somerton for many years.She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Galvan, and two sons, Francisco (Pancho) Galvan and Carlos Galvan.She leaves her loving memory to be cherished by her children Bertha Quintero of Medina, TN; Jose (Chato) Galvan, Jr. of Somerton, AZ; Miguel Galvan (Silvia) of Yuma, AZ; Rosa Aguirre (Armando) of Goodyear, AZ; Ruben Galvan (Rosa) of Yuma, AZ; Adrianna Flores (Samuel) of Somerton, AZ; her 28 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She will be truly missed and she has taken a little piece of our hearts with her.Her services will be held Thursday, November 5th, 2015, at 6:30pm with Rosary at 8:00pm at Johnsons Mortuary in Yuma, Arizona. Scripture services will be held Friday, November 6th, 2015 at 10:00am at Johnsons Mortuary with burial to follow.
