SAN ANGELO Benigna "Benny" Herrera Trevino, 92, of San Angelo, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014, in a local nursing home. Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, in Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Joey Faylona officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Benigna was born on Feb. 13, 1922, to Hinio and Maria Herrera in Dawson, New Mexico. She married Juan Salinas Trevino on April 14, 1938, in San Angelo. Juan passed away on Dec. 24, 1989. Benny enjoyed cooking for her loving family, listening and dancing to Hispanic music. She loved raising baby chickens for her grandchildren at Easter time. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ellen Lopez. She is survived by son Juan Trevino Jr.; daughter Gloria (Joel) Martinez; son Eugene (Estella) Trevino; son Armando (Pat) Trevino; son Guadalupe (Janie) Trevino; son David (Josie) Trevino; daughter Delfina Trevino, all of San Angelo; 19 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be David Trevino, Albert Trevino, Santos Herrera, George Lopez, Armando Trevino Jr. and Henry Cardenas.
