Bennie L. Horton Jr. was born on March 15, 1962 in Fairmont, West Virginia to Bennie L. Horton Sr. and Rosa Horton Mobley. Bennie gave his life to Christ at a young age. He attended Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church where he was baptized. Bennie also attended Miller Elementary School in West Virginia.
Bennie moved to Chicago, Illinois with his mother and two sisters in 1972. He then graduated from Collins High School in 1981. Bennie graduated from DeVry College and worked for Illinois Worker's Compensation Commission where he was an Information Service Specialist. Along with a host of many jobs, Bennie stayed busy; "making money everyday' was one of his famous quotes. Bennie enjoyed fixing computers and vehicles, skating, bowling, and most importantly, spending quality time with family.
Bennie leaves to cherish is his loving wife Donetta Horton in unity for 43 years, two children Dominique (Terrance) Harness, Bennie L. Horton III, grandchildren Taigan Harness, Tru Harness, and Tychicus Harness. He proceeded in death two sisters, Benita Diane Kelly and Diane Scales. Bennie is survived by four sisters: Michelle Miles, Bertha Horton, Desirae Horton, Felicia (Kenneth) Howell, two brothers: William (Racquel) Horton and Melvin Waites, and a host of aunts, uncles, neices, nephews, cousins, and friends.
