Benny M Orta Sr.September 24,1941 - April 18, 2016 Benny Orta Sr. was born on September 24,1941 to parents Mike Orta Sr. and Ruth Mendez Orta. He attended Yuma High School where he met the love of his life, Lydia Orta. They were married in 1960. Benny enjoyed drag racing, hunting and his family. He was a retired Holsum Distributor with a love for old classic and muscle cars. Benny was a wonderful husband, father,grandfather and great grandfather. Happy to spend his best moments with his children, the memories made will continue on for years to come. He is survived by his wife Lydia C. Orta; sons Benny Orta Jr. and Barney Orta and Steve Martinez; daughter Sandy Orta- Armenta; brothers Johnny Orta, Mike Orta Jr., Billy Orta Sr., sisters Dora Orta, Delfina Ayala and Irene Alfaro. He leaves behind seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren as well as a longtime friend Mr. Rusty Reel. Benny is preceded in death by his father Mike Orta Sr.; mother Ruth Mendez Orta; daughter Bridget Orta- Martinez; brothers Alex Orta Sr. , Eugene Orta and sister Nettie Lagunas.
