Bernadette Hardhburger, 91, of Michigan Center, Michigan, passed on March 01, 2023. Bernadette was born on January 02, 1932. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 72 years Harold Hardhburger in 2021, son Harold Junior in 2001, daughter Rose in 2000 and infant son Jack in 1955 as well as unknown dates for her parents Margarine and Jack; and unknown siblings. She is well known as being principal of numerous Michigan Center schools throughout her career as an educator, having been principal of Minnie Arnold Elementary from 1955-1962, then becoming principal at Lakeside Middle (now part of RF Keicher Elementary). She was principal of the newer and current Michigan Center Junior High (that replaced Lakeside Middle) during the 1980s. She ended her career as an educator in 2002 retiring alongside her husband Harold to travel and live peacefully. Unfortunately, following her death, due to having no living relatives or locatable friends, she will be cremated and her ashes will be disposed of according to government guidelines. No funeral is planned. Her estate located on Ballard Rd will be auctioned off and proceeds will go toward backtaxes and remains will be donated to the Red Cross of Jackson County Mi.
