Cosgrove, Bernadine A. "Bernie"Bernadine Agnes "Bernie" Cosgrove, 92, passed away peacefully in Neenah on Friday, December 30, 2016. Bernie was born on January 31, 1924 in Escanaba, Michigan, the daughter of George and Lottie (Smith) Cosgrove. After graduating from Gladstone High School in 1944 she enlisted in the United States Navy where she served as a Pharmacist Mate Third Class. She was honorably discharged from Great Lakes Naval Base in Illinois on June 20, 1947. The Cosgrove family moved to Appleton in October 1954 where she worked in the insurance business until her retirement in July 1983. She was a member of St Theresa Catholic Church in Appleton before moving to Neenah in April of 2010. Bernie loved to cook and will always be remembered for her home made candy and famous blueberry muffins. She lived out her retired life at Island Shores in Neenah. Bernie is survived by nieces; Linda (James) Moonen of Friendship, Ann (William) Ramage, of Leander, Texas, Cheryl Lucier of Alexandria, Virginia, Dawn (Michael) Sakis of Neenah, a nephew David (Dawn) Lucier of Appleton, great nieces and nephews; Ryan, Sarah, Jessica, Ashley, Jason, Allison, and other relatives and friends. Bernie was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lottie Cosgrove, sisters; Charlene Lucier and Eileen Vuksan and her brother Phillip Cosgrove. Bernie's wishes were to have a private family service and be buried in Gladstone, Michigan.
