It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernard Babcock, a beloved member of the Ocean Isle Beach community. Born on February 17, 1937, Bernard lived a full and colorful life before passing away on July 25, 2024.

Bernard was known for his quick wit, infectious laugh, and unwavering commitment to making those around him smile. He was a proud member of the Optimist Club and dedicated countless hours to serving his community.

Bernard served as an Embassy Marine in Jordan during his time in the Marine Corp, where he earned the respect and admiration of all who knew him. In his free time, he could often be found on the golf course, where he honed his skills and shared many laughs with friends.

Bernard will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. While we mourn his passing, we take solace in knowing that he is now reunited with his beloved spouse, Jaqueline Langdon Babcock, in eternal peace.
