He was born on March 27, 1931 in Winooski, the son of Leo & Dolores (Dory) Rich. He was married in Burlington, Vermont to Margaret White. He worked for Mable's Painting for 22 years and was self-employed for many years. He was an avid bowler, a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys & Boxing.He is survived by his wife Margaret (White) Rich, his children Bernard Rich Jr., Robert Rich, Debbie Sordiff & husband David Sordiff, James (Rocky) Rich & Patty Koonz, Cathy McNeal & husband Russell McNeal, Terry O'Brien & husband Donald O'Brien, Victor Benway, Jeffrey Benway & Eva Craig, Paula Dubuque, sister Marjorie Boutin, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his sons Michael Rich, Allen Companion, David Companion & Danny Benway, his sister Irene Brunelle, his brother Dallas Rich.Calling Hours will be held on Monday August 7, 2017 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Ready Funeral Home and Cremation Services South Chapel 261 Shelburne Rd.
