Bernard "Ben" R. Meyer, 85St. AugustaFeb.17, 1932 - May 22, 2017Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11AM on Friday, May 26, 2017 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in St. Augusta for Bernard "Ben" R. Meyer, age 85 of St. Augusta who passed away Monday at St. Benedict's Center, St. Cloud. Rev. Jose Edayadiyil, VC and Rev. Robert Rolfes will concelebrate and burial will be at the parish cemetery. Friends and family may call from 4-8PM on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in St. Augusta and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Arrangements are entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud.Ben was born on February 17, 1932 to Henry and Ella (Beumer) Meyer in St. Cloud He married Jeanette Loehrer on January 28, 1954 at St. Wendelin's Catholic Church in Luxemburg. Ben was a member of St. Mary Help of Christians, Nocturnal Adoration, parish Cemetery Committee, St. Augusta Lions, the Audobon Society and the St. Augusta American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing, and watching baseball; especially the Minnesota Twins. Ben also spent his time gardening and tending to his blue bird houses. He loved spending time with his family, his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. Ben was a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.Ben is survived by his children, Dan (Mary) of St. Augusta, Deb (Ken) Ruehle of South Haven, Paula (Bob) Blumke of St. Cloud, Len (Sue) of St. Augusta, Laurie (Mark) Klaverkamp of Clearwater, Ann Sakry of Rogers, Sheila (Dean) Laudenbach of St. Augusta, Ray (Virginia) of Clearwater and Colleen (Dan) Lommel of St. Augusta; 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Paul (Carol) of South Haven, Franklin of South Haven and David of South Haven; sister-in-law, Nancy Meyer; brother-in-law, Lloyd Rosha and special friend, Anita Hoefer.He was preceded in death by his spouse, Jeanette (October 16, 1968); parents; brother, Peter and sister, Doris Rosha.
