Bernard Parks Sr., 74, was born to June 10 1944 to Earl and Lula Parks in Chicago, IL.

He received his wings suddenly on September 01, 2018 in the comfort of his home surrounded by family and friends

As a child Bernard attended Chicago public schools.  Bernard loved to spend time fishing and reading.  He was the life of family functions.

Bernard was a dedicated husband,father, and grandfather. His grandchildren were the joy of his life

He worked for the City of Atlanta for over 30 years. During this time he left lasting relationships with co-workers.

Bernard was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years Beth (nee Washington), brothers Henry Parks of Chatanooga, TN and Marvin Parks of Jackson, MS.

He leaves to cherish his sister Ina (Joe) Miller of Harvey, IL 3 children: Bernard (Rosemary) Parks Jr. of Chicago, IL, and Rayfus (Gwendolyn) Parks of Milwaukee, WI and Annie Washington of Joliet, IL.   5 grandchildren  Sonya, Regina, and NaTasha Parks, LaKhiesha Washington and Michael Parks . A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
