Bernice Clark was born on June 11, 1927 in Detroit Michigan to the parents of Harris & Rose Blake. Bernice peacefully passed away on June 28, 2020 in her home in Williamstown NJ. Bernice migrated from Detroit to Philadelphia as a young child and completed her education at Girls High School. Shortly after she met the love of her life Walter Clark and the two united in marriage on June 18, 1945. The two of them along with extended family took on the family project of building their own home in Williamston NJ. She loved this home and was most comfortable there. The family quickly grew as the couple had a total of five children of their own. Bernice's greatest joy was having her family over. She had a big collection of family photos all around that she was very proud of. She would often do a little dance and sing, "I love my family." Bernice was also a hard worker as a housekeeper, it kept her active and you would hear her say, "I got to pay these taxes." She commuted to work by bus but she was known in the community as a walker. Bernice loved to dance and listen to jazz music and was elated to hear Walter play a song on the organ. Every morning she had to have her coffee, read her newspaper and take her vitamins. She was very interested in health and she purchased a lot of health books pertaining to natural remedies, herbal remedies and vitamins. She was full of life! Bernice is survived by three children Linda Myers (Bruce Myers), Carlos Clark (Lily Clark), and Felicia Clark (George Vande). Along with 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She is predeceased by her husband Walter Clark, and two children Mario Clark and Juan Clark. But may her memory live on forever.
To all my children may the pedals teach you the art of letting go
While holding on to something deeper
while holding on to love
and remember if I have loved then I have lived
Thank you for letting me love and thank you for letting me go
You can to the family or in memory of Bernice Clark.
