Miller, Bernice E.Bernice E. Miller, 98, formerly of Eden went to her heavenly home on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Lakeview Place in Fond du Lac. She was born on October 21, 1918 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of John and Esther (Dennert) Hodorff. On September 12, 1940, Bernice married Claude V. Miller at Tabor Evangelical Church, Eden. Bernice was a member of Tabor United Methodist Church and the UM Women. She loved God, the farm and her family. Bernice embraced the farming lifestyle and all its canning, gardening and work. After retirement they wintered in Mesa, AZ. Survivors include her sons John (Pat) Miller of Athens, GA, Donald (Jeanne) Miller of North Fond du Lac and Alan (Julie) Miller of Eden, her 8 grandchildren: Kelly (Alex) Wolternist, Stacy (Andre) Popovici, Darren (Carrie) Dins, Justin (Micky) Miller, Donielle Miller, Sara (Chris) Straub, Kevin (Michelle) Miller, Kimberly (Moriah) Miller, her 10 great grandchildren: Ryan and John Wolternist, Michael Hansen, Emma Popovici, Dakota, Toby, Kale and Payton Miller, Jackson and Becca Straub, her sister Ruth Burmeister of Fond du Lac, her brother John Hodorff of Winston-Salem NC, two sisters-in-law: Hazel Hodorff of Fond du Lac and Margie Hellwig of Oshkosh and many other relatives and friends. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Claude on September 27, 2005, her daughter Beverly Dins-Vogel, her 4 brothers: Merlin, Hubert, Earl and Harold Hodorff and two sisters: Lydia Germanotta, and Mildred Guell.Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 11, 2017 at 10:00AM at Tabor United Methodist Church, N4224 Church Rd. Eden. Rev. Young Tae Lee will officiate and entombment will follow at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac. Memorials appreciated to the Tabor United Methodist Women's Mission Fund or Agnesian Hospice Hope.Visitation will be Wednesday May 10th, 2017 from 4-7PM at the Twohig Funeral Home at 305 Fond du Lac Avenue, Fond du Lac and at the church on Thurs.
