IN LOVING MEMORY OF

            Obituary

Bernice Jordan was born in Berea, North Carolina on November 18, 1930 to the union of Edward Harris (Deceased) and Marie (Torde) Webb (Deceased).

Bernice was the oldest of two children, Jimmy was her younger brother (deceased). Bernice Harris wedded McDonald Jordan SR in 1948. Sister Billings, who was one of the remnants, studied with Bernice and her husband.

Bernice dedicated her life to Jehovah, symbolizing it by water baptism in 1955.  Her 64 years of faithful service included regular pioneering and generous hospitality to all brothers and sisters.  She and the entire family enjoyed their first International Assembly in 1958 at Yankee Stadium and Polo Grounds in New York City.  She truly loved her Heavenly Father Jehovah, evidenced by her many years of faithful service.  Her hope was in the marvelous paradise on earth that Jehovah God promised.

Sadly, Bernice leaves behind three daughters:  Laura W. Jordan, Jennifer M. Jordan (Deceased), Denise A. Jordan-Jackson, and one son:  McDonald John Jordan JR. (Micky), and one living cousin: Vivian Fenton Richardson.

Bernice’s immediate family and their children:

Laura Jordan & family – Raynette T. Jordan-Durant, Raymond C. Durant, Marc E. Durant, Lauren W. Weeks;

Jennifer Marie Jordan & family – Shannon Spivey-Mayo, Arlington Lynch, Tondelayo Lynch, Heatherjoy Lynch;

Micky Jordan & family – Wendy N. Jordan, Jason A. Jordan, Michael E. Jordan, David Jordan, Steven Jordan, Chris Jordan;

Denise Jordan-Jackson & family – Larry D. Jackson, Jr (Darnell), Melody C. Jackson, Tamika L. Jackson.

Bernice also leaves behind 21 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, 21 great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a host of many, many friends and countless spiritual brothers and sisters.

Bernice’s Favorite Scripture is Phil 4:6,7 ….”and the peace of God will guard your hearts and your mental powers..."  These words kept Bernice’s faith and hope alive.

Bernice’s Favorite Song: Song #34 “Walking in Integrity”

Bernice enjoyed her field ministry as a regular pioneer.  Bernice was an accomplished classical pianist who also played Kingdom Melodies for the Kingdom Hall meetings.  With Brooklyn Bethel being so close by she accommodated the bethel brothers in her home with spiritual music, singing of songs, and delightful meals.

Bernice loved to sing while cooking and baking pastries, she also enjoyed watching classic movies on the AMC channel with her family

Bernice was an award-winning ball room dancer and an advent drinker of Maxwell House coffee, so..."Don't mess with her coffee!" Bernice loved both her coffee and her ice cream.

Bernice was a very upbeat sweet and kind person.  She will be remembered for her very warm smile, soft chuckle that accommodated her mouse-like voice when she spoke.
