Bernie Gildehaus , 68, of Fairview Heights, Illinois, passed on August 20, 2023. Bernie was born on April 15, 1955. He is preceded in death by his parents Viola and Charles Gildehaus, his wife Kathy, his son Andrew and his daughter Angie. His is survived in death by his daughter Stephanie Gildehaus (West) of Granite City IL, his grandchildren Stacee West(Aaron Bryant) of St.Louis Missouri, Ryan Lehr of Belleville IL , Tammy West(Shawn Thompson) of Smithon IL and many other nieces , nephews , cousins , aunts and uncles.

He will be remembered for his funny personality his commitment to his community and his dedication as a volunteer firefighter.

The funeral will be Saturday August 26,2023 at Kassly Mortuary in Fairview Heights IL. Following services we will release balloons and have a family gathering with food and drinks to celebrate Bernie’s Life.
