Berreth A. Ward, Sr.1935 - 2015Berreth A. Ward, Sr, 80, of Horseshoe Bay, Tex., died Saturday, Oct. 3, at his home with his companion, Carol McKinney, by his side under the care of Hospice. He was born on May 26, 1935, to the late Albert (Butch) and Bernice (Granger) Ward of Rib Lake, Wis. Barry grew up in Baraboo, Wis., and Boscobel, Wis. He graduated from Boscobel High School in 1953. He joined the Navy in November 1953 and served until November 1957. He served onboard the USS Philippine Sea during the Korean War and was a lifetime member of the Lancaster, Wis., VFW. He married Roseann Brilliot in 1958 and fathered four children. They divorced in 1979.Barry worked many years at American Motors in Kenosha and later at the Zion, Ill., nuclear plant until he retired.Barry is survived by his companion Carol, and his children, Richard (Kimberly) Ward, Kenosha, Candace (Scott) Dailey, Burlington, Tina (Dan) Caskey, Burlington and four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister, Barbara (John) Nordness, Rib Lake, and his best friend Roger Latham, Lancaster, plus many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and one Aunt Audrey (Howard) Rider, Seattle, Wash.Barry was preceded in death by his parents, former wife Roseann, and a son, Berreth (Butchie) Ward Jr.A memorial service is pending at this time with burial in the cemetery at Rib Lake, WI.
