Born on June 7, 1936, in Bethlehem, Bert was the cherished son of Johnny and Betty Ansley. He grew up in a loving household, surrounded by a close-knit family that instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion.

After graduating from Winder Barrow High School, Bert embarked on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. He was a diligent student and earned accolades for his commitment to academics.

Soon after completing his education, Bert found his calling as a mechanic. With an innate passion for all things mechanical, he dedicated his career to honing his skills and providing exceptional service to his community. He was known for his meticulous attention to detail and genuine commitment to ensuring the safety and functionality of every vehicle entrusted to him.

Bert's greatest joy in life was his family. In 1957, he married the love of his life, Mary, and together they embarked on a lifelong journey filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Their union was blessed with nine wonderful children: Linda, JoEvelyn, Jerry, Bill, Machele, Vanessa, Michael, Peggy Sue, and Ellen.

Bert was a devoted father who prioritized his children's well-being and happiness above all else. He took an active role in their upbringing, providing unwavering support, guidance, and love. Bert's home was always a safe haven for his children, where they sought solace and found the unwavering love and understanding of a remarkable father.

As his children grew and started families of their own, Bert's family expanded to include nine grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy and delight. He loved watching them grow, celebrating their achievements, and imparting his wisdom to the next generation.
