Bertha M. Cassidy, 60, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015 in Cleveland.She was born on Sept. 18, 1955, in Mora County to James Cassidy and Cecilia Romero Cassidy.She worked for Mora Chamber of Commerce. A Catholic, she was a member of St. Gertude Church in Mora and San Antonio Church in Cleveland.She was preceded in death by her parents: James and Cecilia Cassidy.She is survived by her daughters and son: Jeanette Hilton and husband, Jason, of Hornbek, La.; Christopher Rangel and wife, Tina, of Lubbock, Texas; and Heather Roque and husband, Manuel, of Littlefield, Texas; grandchildren: Dayton, Joey, Avery, Michael, Savannah, Hailee, Victoria, Cassidy, Carlos and Ryleigh; brothers and sister: Selso Romero of Cleveland, Nora Romero and husband, Michael, of Albuquerque, Michael Cassidy, Mark Cassidy and wife, Geri, all of Las Vegas, Matthew Cassidy and wife, Theresa, of Rio Rancho, and James Cassidy of Roswell; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.Bertha Cassidy was involved in many community programs. She loved working with people and found great joy contributing to the improvement of her community. Bertha loved life and had the ability to impact the hearts of those who knew her. Her smile was as radiant as her spirit. She will be greatly missed and forever cherished in our hearts.Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. today (Friday) at St. Gertrude Church in Mora. Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday also at St. Gertrude Church with Father Dennis Dolter, SOLT as celebrant.
