DENISON - Bertie Jeanell Krueger; Celebration of Life Service announcement. Parkside Baptist Church, Denison Texas. Tuesday 29 November at 6 p.m. All who wish to join the family and friends are welcome to attend.Mrs. Krueger passed peacefully in the early morning on Monday, July 18th, 2016 following a joyous weekend of visitation and reunion with family, friends and several of the many foster children she helped raise throughout the years.Jeanell was born on August 23, 1943, in Liberty, Oklahoma, the daughter of Troy and Lillian McAlister. She married Roland J. Krueger Jr. on July15, 1962 and were both long time residents of Denison Texas.This memorial service will be a celebration of both her life and the long awaited reunion with her husband Roland, the love of her life. Married for 46 years, Roland preceded her in death November 26, 2008.Mrs. Krueger's church family was Parkside Baptist Church in Denison and she retired from Texas Instruments in Sherman Texas where she worked in the semi-conductor industry for more than 30 years.She and Roland together, after raising their 3 children, became dedicated State of Texas foster parents to many displaced children over the past 29 years. The couple opened their home to more than 50 children, many of whom graduated, started their own families and continued to enjoy holidays and family events with the Krueger's long after leaving their care. Jeanell remained committed to foster care following Roland's death and provided a loving and nurturing home to 5 children up to the time of her stroke on June 21, 2016.Jeanell is survived by sister Phyllis Miller with her husband Butch Miller of Texarkana Texas, as well as her brother Eldon McAlister and wife Denise McAlister of Denison, Texas.She is also survived by her devoted children and loving grandchildren, Cort Krueger and his wife Stephanie, granddaughters Riley and Rhyan, of Denison Texas; Kimberly Piatt and her husband Jon, grandson Brandon and his wife Stephanie, and granddaughter Brittney, all of McKinney Texas; Kevin Krueger and wife Linda, grandson Gus and granddaughter Ann of Denison Texas; Ray Krueger of Dallas Texas and foster daughter Natausha McKinney along with her children Gracie, John, and Blaze of Denison Texas."His Lord said unto him, well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy Lord." – Matthew 25:23
