Bessie M. "Shine" HaleyChapel Services for Bessie M. Haley will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, in the chapel of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Grady Snider officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at the funeral home and resume from 8:30 A.M. until time of service on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, in the Kramer Chapel. Bessie M. Haley, 92, of Alexandria, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017, in Lexington House. Shine is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Ernest Haley; and three sisters, Bea Gossett, Fannie Parker, and Lou Kelly. Shine was born on October 3, 1924 to the union of James and Gertrude McDaniels. She was a talented seamstress, gardener and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Shine retired after 24 years with Continental Trailways and several years with ACA. Shine was also a member of the Red Hatters Club. Shine is survived by one son, Larry Haley and wife, Clara, of Boyce, LA; three grandchildren, Patrice Pippins and husband, Jason, of Baton Rouge, and Chris Haley and wife, Jennifer, of Stafford, VA; and Fletcher McQueen, of Fayetteville, AK; along with 9 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers honored to serve will be Lynn Anderson, Chris Haley, James Hastings, Jason Pippins, Caplan Haley, and Joe B. Gossett.
