Beth Jefferson, a beloved resident of Gary, Indiana, passed away on June 10, 2023, at the age of 73. She was born on January 1, 1950, in Gary, Indiana, and was the daughter of the late William and Mary Jefferson.
Beth attended Gary High School and went on to attend Indiana University where she earned a degree in education. She was a dedicated teacher for over 40 years, and her passion for education shone through in everything she did. She touched the lives of countless students, inspiring them and helping them achieve their goals.
Beth was a loving mother and grandmother, and her family meant everything to her. She is survived by her two children, Mark and Lisa, and her three grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, and Samantha. She was a kind, caring, and selfless person who always put others before herself.
She was an active member of the community and volunteered her time and resources to a variety of causes. She was a member of the local chapter of the Red Cross and worked tirelessly to help those affected by natural disasters. She was also a regular volunteer at the local food bank, where she helped provide food and supplies to families in need.
