Bettie O'Brien Forbis, 71, passed on June 11, 2021. She was born to Billy O’Brien and Eileen O’Brien in Macon, Georgia on March 12, 1950. Bettie had 2 siblings, her older brother Richard O'Brien, and her younger sister Dianna O'Brien. Bettie attended Warner Robins High School, where she also met her now husband John Michael Forbis. Bettie graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1968. After graduating, Bettie married her high school sweetheart, John Michael Forbis in 1969. They lived together in Warner Robins, Georgia. Together they raised 1 child Doug Richard Forbis (wife Carol Forbis). Bettie and her husband John Michael were members of Second Baptist Church. Bettie served in the youth ministry until she retired. Bettie was a light for the Lord. She showed love, kindness, and care to everyone she came in contact with. If you knew Bettie, then you definitely knew who Jesus was.

Bettie was preceded in death by her parents Billy O’Brien and Eileen O’Brien, brother Richard O'Brien, sister Dianna O'Brien. Bettie is survived by her husband John Michael Forbis, her son Doug Richard Forbis (wife Carol Forbis), two grandchildren Richard Doug Forbis, and David Lee Forbis.
A private family gathering to celebrate the life of Bettie O'Brien Forbis was held on June, 15th. A private family graveside service will be held. Arrangements are being finalized at this time.
