Betty Lou Dyer, 70, passed on January 28, 2023. She was born to James and Samantha Corer on April 22, 1952.
She married Jerry Dyer in 1974 and they lived together in Woodbridge, Virginia. Together they raised 2 children Macey Dyer , Brad Dyer (Joyce ). She is also survived by 4 grandchildren. Who were her world.
She worked as a school teacher for 35 years. Her favorite thing to teach was English. She loved teaching high schoolers Shakespeare, because she knew they had no idea what most of his plays were about. She retired in 2015 when her health worsened.
One of her favorite places to go was Miami, Fl. Her sister Barb owned a beach house down their and ever Easter and Fourth of July that's were Betty Lou was at.
Besides teaching she has a profound love for her grandchildren. Brad and Joyce welcomed their fourth born just back in March of last year. Betty Lou loved that baby to death, and Betty's life will always be remembered and shared to her new grandbaby. Sadly, back in 2005 Betty Lou lost her daughter in a massive car crash. She mourned her daughter everyday until her death and is probally happy now that they are together.
During her final years Betty was in the care of hospice battling terminal lung cancer. She was dionogsed back in 2015 and was given five months to live, but she fought and she fought until now she is out of pain. She lasted 7 years and her family is so proud of her. She kicked cancers butt. Even in the end it couldn't take her happiness away.
