Betty Ann Egnitz, of Holliston, Massachusetts, a beloved Mother and Grandmother, passed away on November 5th, 2025, at the age of 78 after a long battle with Breast Cancer.
Survived by her two sons, Sean Egnitz and his wife Janna Egnitz of Natick, MA, and Brian Egnitz and his wife Lisa Egnitz of Holliston, MA. Beloved sister to Donald and Alan Casavecchia and their wives Carol and Shelley. Loving grandmother to her five grandchildren, Anabelle, William, Olivia, Pierce and Ryan. Beloved Aunt to Susanne, Peter, Shannon and Lisa, and devoted companion to Greg. Predeceased by her father Dominic, mother Betty and brother David Casavecchia.
Born on January 3rd, 1947, in Marlborough, MA Betty grew up in Berlin, MA with her loving parents and siblings. She was known for her friendly personality, caring heart, and unwavering dedication to her family.
Betty found her calling as a nanny where she touched the lives of many families with her fun-loving spirit and endless energy. She was known for her genuine love of children, her gift of connecting with them on their level, and finding ways to make everyday fun. She carried every child she cared for in her heart and loved them all like family.
Betty loved the ocean and enjoyed staying in Rockport and visiting Wingaersheek Beach in Gloucester. She was a social butterfly and had many friends she loved to visit and talk with; she was always up for an adventure and genuinely loved being around people.
But above all else, Betty was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was the center of her universe, and she took immense pride in them and loved them dearly. She cherished the simple moments spent with her family and truly enjoyed being in their company.
Betty will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephew and friends.
Betty's service will be held on Saturday November 15th, 2025, at 11:00 AM at North Cemetery, 240 Highland St., Berlin MA. Her celebration of life will commence after the service at 12:30 at Anthony's on the Green, 212 Prentice St., Holliston MA. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute or the Holliston Pantry Shelf.
