Betty Sanders BrockBetty Joan (Sanders) Brock, of Milton, Florida, died in Harpster, Idaho on December 14, 2016, after her disappearance in March, 2014. Her family searched unsuccessfully for her and learned of her passing on January 7, 2017. She was 75 years old.Betty is survived by her six children, Joseph D. Belanger of Portland, TX, Daniel A. Belanger of Pace, FL, Amy J. Belanger, of Berkeley, CA; Darlene R. Belanger, of Pace, Florida; Darryl V. Belanger, of Ebro, FL; and Thomas A. Belanger, of Milton, FL; her step-son, James Brock, of Independence, Missouri; her sixteen grandchildren; her eight great-grandchildren; her sister, Sandra Maddox, of Milton, FL; and her half-brother, Delbert A. Burroughs of Mobile, AL; and her sister-in-law, Beatrice Sanders, of Montvale, NJ. She is preceded in death by her son, Glenn C. Belanger, of Milton, FL; her parents, Cohen Sanders of Milton, FL and Nancy (Watson) Burroughs, of Mobile, AL; and her brother, Richard Sanders, of Montvale, NJ.Betty was born on June 1, 1941, in Pensacola, FL and raised in Ferry Pass. She married Thomas G. Belanger in 1960, and they had seven children together and divorced in 1970. She was remarried in 1977 to Jimmie L. Brock, of Milton. Betty was a rural route carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and a talented professional artist. She became a widow in 2010 and remarried in 2011. She was a loving, generous, and strong woman and healer with a deep love for her family, nature, and animals. She was a member of the Florida Tribe of Cherokee Indians, a longtime member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, and later, the Margaret Street Church of Christ.
