THREE LAKES, WI - Age 78, died on Monday, November 3, 2014 at her home. She was born on April 18, 1936 in Elk Grove, IL the daughter of Louis and Sophie (nee Freise) Winkelmann. Betty was raised and attended schools in Arlington Heights, IL. She lived in Illinois as well as Kenosha County for many years. On Dec. 15, 1967 Betty married Marvin Jarvis in Loveland, CO. The couple resided in Union Grove, WI until moving to Three Lakes, WI in 1992. She had worked and enjoyed cleaning homes and was a substitute cook for the Three Lakes Schools for many years. She had been a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Union Grove and was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Eagle River, WI; Betty was a member of the Red Hat Club and the Snow-Eagles Club. She was active in the Martha Society and the LWML (Lutheran Womens Missionary League) as a representative for the national and districts events. Betty enjoyed camping, fishing, as well as spending time in her kitchen cooking and baking for family and friends. She also looked forward to visits with her grand- children. Betty is survived by her husband Marvin, step-sons Richard and Randall Jarvis of Union Grove and Ronald Jarvis of Bristol, WI, brothers Louis (May) Winkelmann of Gold Canyon, AZ and George (Dorothy) Winkelmann of Anamosa, IA, sister Alice Daly of Paris, WI 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and nieces and nephews. AFS son Jose (Lupita) Fernandez and family from Costa Rica. She was preceded in death by her daughters Carol Madory and Donna Jaeger and son Charles Jaeger. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, November 10, 2014 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Union Grove with Rev. Mark Wilkens officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park.
