Betty Jane (Huey) Crawford TrottNEWARK: Betty Jane (Huey) Crawford Trott, 91, of Newark, died at 4:05 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Arlington Care Center in Newark.She was born on September 16, 1922 in Zanesville a daughter of the late Harry and Zella Johnson Huey. She was a long time resident of Newark. Betty loved to sew and garden and was a big football fan of the Indianapolis Colts and the Ohio State Buckeyes. She loved watching any pro football game on TV. Betty had the distinction of being a long tenured employee of Pizza Hut for 22 years, working until the age of 74. She loved her job and the people she worked with.Betty was a World War II bride of Paul E. Crawford who served with Patton's 3rd Army in Europe. Paul passed away in 1970. Betty's second husband, Raymond Trott was a Korean War veteran and he passed away in 1993. Betty spent her early retirement years in Port Charlotte, Florida and moved back to Newark in 2000.She is survived by her sons, Phillip Crawford of Zanesville and Terry Crawford of Concord, North Carolina; grandchildren, Michelle Miller of Charlotte, NC, Samantha and Paul Crawford of Newark; one brother, Harry Huey of Zanesville; six great-grandchildren.Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 at Greenwood Cemetery. William Thompson & Son Funeral Home in White Cottage is handling the arrangements.
