Betty Jane GriffinZanesville: Betty Jane Griffin, 79, of Zanesville, passed away at 4:25 a.m. Friday July 28, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Newark. She was born on August 2, 1937 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Richard Eugene and Rosemary Irene (Wyatt) Shultz. She is survived by six daughters Debbie (Jeff) Mitchell, Rose (Doug) Elson, Bonnie Atwell, Patty (Schon) Hughes, Tess (Jon) Farnsworth, and Penny Jones. Three step-children Patty (Rob) Kendall, Pam Griffin, and Bill Griffin. 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Four sisters JoAnn Bates, Patsy McCoy, Peach (Art) Burns, and Donna (Tom) Burns. One brother Richard Shultz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Griffin. One son Ricky Caw. One step-daughter Diane Vculek. Two brothers Eddie Shultz and George Shultz. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Monday July 31, 2017 at WILLIAM THOMPSON & SON FUNERAL HOME 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday August 1, 2017.
