CharlestownSpencer, Betty Jane,Betty Jane Spencer, 83, of Charlestown, IN, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the University of Louisville Hospital.She was born on September 13, 1933 to Charles and Mattie (Gibson) Murley in Burkesville, KY. She was a loving mother, and grandmother who loved gardening, flowers, cooking, and homemaking. She was also a member of the Community Presbyterian Church in Charlestown. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Robin Deann Spencer; sister, Frances Mannix; brothers, Benny Murley, and Philip Murley. Survivors include her husband of 61 years Glenn Spencer; sons, Bradley Spencer (Lisa) of Charlestown, IN, and Rex Spencer of Clarksville, IN; grandchildren, Cameron Spencer, and Arianna Spencer.Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 2pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial to follow in the Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Thursday from 1pm to 8pm, and after 9am on Friday.
