LexingtonCalloway, Betty Jean,74, died on Friday, October 27, 2017. She was born on July 9, 1943 in Austin, Indiana, the daughter of the late Milton Hays and Golden "Goldie" M. (Spicer) Masters. Betty worked at the old U.S. Shoe Factory and then became bookkeeper for the old Hahn's Saddle Shop. She and her husband were co-owner's of several businesses over the years. They included Calloway Oil Company, Calloway Packaging, Business Services, Inc., E & J Truck Stop and Burger Queen in Austin, Indiana. They also were former co-owner's of the Ponderosa and Arby's Restaurants. Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church in Scottsburg, Indiana. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty also enjoyed crafts and fishing with her husband. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Ed Calloway; a son, Gene Calloway (Kim); a daughter, Mitzi Coffey (Mark); a sister, Carlene Kennedy (Mark); a brother, Ralph Milton Hays (Delilah); seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral Service: 11:00 am Saturday at Collins Funeral Home with burial in Scottsburg Cemetery. Visitation from 10am-11am on Saturday at Collins Funeral Home.
