With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Fields, who was born on January 7, 1957, and passed away on October 11, 2024, in Sacramento, California, United States.

She was the beloved daughter of Pete Freeman Fields and Rachel Fields. Betty was the loving spouse of Hubert Perryman, with whom she was happily married for 40 years. Together, they raised four wonderful children: Yolanda, Rachel, Denise, and Betty Ola. Betty became Bigmama when she became a grandmother. Betty (Bigmama) leaves behind 7 grandchildren: Tymeeshay and Quincy, Traunna, Breanna, Nevaé, Tymeah, Knowledge, Jordyn; 4 great-grandchildren: Alani’Noelle, Kaydence, Hendrixx, and Ky’Mani.

Betty was a dedicated caregiver who spent her life helping others. She was known for her kind and compassionate nature, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her selflessness and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her.

Outside of her work, Betty had a passion for helping others and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, creating lasting memories and sharing stories with her loved ones.

Betty leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Our hearts go out to her family during this difficult time.
